For the record, Brock started using spit toothpaste.

Sleeping sounds
Last night was the first night in 5 years that we didn't need to use the monitor any more.... Good bye white noise oceans sounds. Hello music to sleep to again. I've missed you.

Bedtime "routine"
Its is amazing how different the kids are. For Quinn, it took years before she'd let us leave the room before she was alseep. Brock is not that way at all. He could care less about the stories and songs from mom and dad. He "reads" on his own, sings, plays with toys all by himself. He'll come out several times to get a new toy or book, and then go back to his room to continue to play.
Granted, it still takes him at least an hour to fall alseep, but it is all on his own.

Pre-Day planning - Curiosity of genetics
It is REALLY bizarre what genetics brings to the table. I'm a planner... It normally takes me a fair amount of time to fall asleep because I'm thinking about the days events and what I'll be doing the next day. Brock is exactly the same. He will talk, sing, and plan in his bed for up to an hour after we put him down. Last night he was talking about all of the fun adventures he was going to do today, along with a couple of songs.
I have know idea how he picked this up from me.

Falling in the pool
This post is just for the record of it... but Brock was helping me clean the pool this morning and fell in.
He did great... he was able to swim enough (not really above water), that I could reach him from the side. And when I pulled him out, he was most upset that he got his pajamas wet.
We talked about what happened, and how we always need to be safe around the pool.
He was swimming an hour later, clearly not even phased by it. (I was hoping for a little phasing, so that maybe he might learn from it.... we'll see).

Excited about the lake
We made the mistake of telling Brock on Friday that we'd be going to the lake the next day. He was so excited that he slept for 5 minutes, woke up and was ready to go to the lake.
Then we tried to convince him that it would be after breakfast... So he wanted cereal at 9 at night.
He is so excited to go on the boat.
